Many factories use a large network of tunnels and trenches under their production machinery to remove air containing high amounts of dust and fiber. This dust and fiber is pulled through these tunnels by high volume fans to central air filters.
Sparks and fire created by production machines, spinning frames, looms and other machinery can also be pulled into these tunnels. The combination of sparks, air and dust can lead to serious fires in the tunnels and in the air filters.
Arosa Systems uses a combination of our Aro:Smoke early warning aspirating smoke detection systems and high speed infrared spark detectors to detect smoke and the emergence of any fire in these tunnels before it can damage the filters and be exhausted back into the building.
